If you have never been to one of these events, I highly recommend you attend the Expo next year in New Orleans! The educational opportunites are great… and you will have a great time too!

Our chapter is having our Holiday Social on December 14! Please plan on attending to celebrate our 50th anniversary as a chapter. How to RSVP is enclosed in this newsletter… don’t delay! Reserve your spot today!

If you are thinking about taking the CPD exam, or someone in your office should be, our Chapter, along with Baltimore Chapter, is providing a CPD Review Class, instructed by our very own David Bailey, CPD, GPD, FASPE, on Saturday, February 1, 2020! Remember that ASPE is your resource, and your responsibility. There are precious few organizations dedicated to the practice of Plumbing Engineering, and the opportunity to give and receive knowledge, as well as interact with industry peers, begins with our chapter. Membership Report

Dear friends and valuable ASPE members:
October was certainly a month full of activity and we had a very good attendance at the October monthly meeting. We want to extend our appreciation to all of you who make these meetings possible. It is our goal as a chapter to provide the best learning experience for all our members and we welcome all feedback to make these meeting a better experience for all. Certainly, one of the highlights from October was the ASPE 2019 Tech Symposium in Pittsburg, the steel city and home of the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. For many of us it was the first time visiting the city of Bridges, (446 bridges) and for many of you it was a good chance to see this great place one more time. Personally, it was great seeing and meeting many of you, members of the ASPE DC chapter as well as other fellow members from other chapters.

This month we want to remind all our members whose membership is about to expire to check the options available such as: Multi-Year Membership Renewal, Early Renewal Discount for First-Time Members and Multiple Chapter Affiliation. To learn more about these programs please visit www.aspe.org/membership_options.

A great benefit for members is ASPE Connect, which is an online platform to connect, engage, and learn with your fellow ASPE members. Through its interactive discussions, you can find answers to your design questions, get career advice, share your successes, brainstorm ideas, and build new relationships. To learn more about this community and to start participating please visit: connect.aspe.org.

Also, all AYP members are invited to save the date for the joint ASHRAE /ASPE AYP event. It will be held at the Eleanor (https://www.eleanordc.com) April 8, 2020 5:30-8pm. Two free drinks and appetizers will be included.
